We believe that what makes Fun Box special is the people who work here. They are truly the heart of the setting. They consider working with children as their true vocation. We also take full advantage of our small team; we know each other very well and build on our different personalities and strengths to ensure that every child gets the best suited personal care.

Warm and friendly environment

A big variety of playful educational activities and the all-day-long free flow between indoors and outdoors are very important for us. Our resources are carefully selected and rotated regularly; children’s interest is taken into consideration every step of the way. What we think really makes the difference is the atmosphere how children and parents feel around us.

Friendly, family orientated approach

At Fun Box certainly children are our first and upmost priority but we understand that we are also responsible to look after and build close relationships with our families and communities as well.

Our door is always open for parents to stay, play and have a chat. We believe that our families, children and our practitioners equally benefit from this close relationship. Mutual trust, understanding and honest communication can work like magic.

Providing placements for students of local colleges in order to gain experience with children is just one of the ways how we support our community.

Flexible contracts, 2/3/4 year-old funding

Our families can choose either a term-time-only or an all-year-round contract. Our hourly charges enables us to tailor our service flexibly around our families’ needs and keep their childcare cost down.

All early years funding (2/3/4 year olds) are accepted and can be use either over 38 weeks (15 hours per week) or stretched over 50 weeks (11 hours per week).

30 hour funding

The Government has introduced the 30 hours childcare and tax-free childcare schemes from September 2017 aiming to make child care more affordable for working families.

We understand that funded extra childcare hours are very important for our families and for their children as well. This extra time spent at a nursery or pre-school gives tremendous support for the children to further develop social and emotional skills and strengthen their foundation. This is why it is so vital for us to provide 30 hour childcare.

Payments through the Tax-free childcare scheme and other childcare voucher companies are accepted.
