A story of our World Book Day 2025 inspired by Julia Donaldson
In Fun Box Day Nursery, on March the sixth,
A day full of stories, a magical mix. 📚✨
Children in costumes, characters bold,
From tales of adventure, both new and old.
Blippi and Bitsy from Super Kittens,
Skeletons dancing, in funny positions. 🕺💀
The Tiger Who Came to Tea joined the fun,
Ironman, Wally, and princesses spun. 🦸♂️👸
Fairy Felicity fluttered around,
While Scooby-Doo searched with a curious hound. 🧚🐕
Staff joined the merriment, dressed to delight,
The Wolf from Three Little Pigs gave a playful fright. 🐺🐷🐷🐷
Sugarplum Unicorn sparkled and gleamed,
Sherlock Holmes pondered, or so it seemed. 🦄🕵️♂️
With crayons and paper, imaginations took flight,
Drawing dear characters, hearts pure and bright. 🎨❤️
Sensory trays with stories to tell,
Jack and the Beanstalk, where magic beans dwell. 🌱
Superworm wriggled through soil and sand,
The Very Hungry Caterpillar munched leaves so grand. 🐛🍃
Children, inspired, took turns to read,
Pretending with books, a joyful deed. 📖😊
Through play and laughter, they learned every day,
Growing and thriving in their own special way.
Earlier that week, on Pancake Day,
We flipped and we tasted in a pancake display. 🥞
At the malleable table, with batter and pan,
Children cooked pancakes as best as they can. 👩🍳👨🍳
At Fun Box Nursery, we cherish these times,
Building foundations through rhythms and rhymes. 🎶
With stories and play, we nurture and guide,
Watching with pride as our children stride. 🌟
